what is sound healing?
Sound healing is a deeply immersive experience where you’re gently “bathed” in sound vibrations produced by instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, flutes, chimes and more. These vibrations interact with your body, mind and nervous system to help you relax, release tension and reconnect with yourself. At Satori, you don’t need any prior experience – just an open mind and the willingness to receive the sounds.

When you arrive, you’ll be invited to settle into a comfortable space surrounded by soft lighting, gentle scents, and grounding energy. The session begins with a few moments of breath and presence.
Sound bath / sound journey
During a satori session you’ll typically lie down (or sit comfortably) in a safe, soothing space. You might feel tingling, warmth, pulsations, or even emotional release – this is your body and nervous system responding to the vibrations. The aim is to allow your system to soften, slow down and restore itself naturally.
As the sound bath unfolds, tones from crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls, gong, flute, chimes, and drum weave through the space. Each frequency gently interacts with your body’s own vibration, helping to release tension, quiet the mind, and restore natural balance.

The sounds guide you into a meditative state where your parasympathetic nervous system – the “rest and restore” response, activates. You may feel waves of relaxation, warmth, tingling, or emotional release as your system recalibrates to harmony.
With deep relaxation and allowing your nervous system to relax, that is where healing starts.
What you might experience
Each person’s experience is unique, but many report feeling deeply relaxed, calm, or floating. You may feel sensations like vibration, warmth, tears, emotional release or energetic shifts. Some people even drift into sleep-like states and wake feeling refreshed.
Afterwards you might notice improved clarity, openness, better sleep or just a soft, expansive feeling. At Satori I offer a gentle transitional period at the end so you can come back to ordinary awareness with ease.

how should I prepare
do I have to change my beliefs to benefit from sound?
Not at all, with all that is misunderstood about sound healing it can come across as weird or out there. Sound can be seen as a massage for your being, a way to relax and reset.
You will benefit from a sound session as long as your heart is open to the experience.
What should I wear / bring to a sound healing session?
Comfort is key. Wear loose, comfy clothing, and consider layering since you may feel warm or cool during the session.
Who can benefit from sound healing, and is it safe?
Most people can benefit – whether you’re seeking deep rest, stress relief, emotional reset, or subtle tuning of your energy. Sound healing is generally low-risk and non-invasive. However, if you have a specific medical condition (e.g., implants, pacemaker, epilepsy, or are in early pregnancy), it’s wise to check in with your healthcare provider and let me know. At Satori I’ll always provide clear guidance so you feel safe and supported.
How often should I attend a sound healing session?
There’s no one-size-fits-all. If you’re new, once every 3–4 weeks can be a great rhythm to begin. If you’re going through a particularly stressful time or seeking deeper change, weekly sessions can provide strong support. Together we can decide what feels right for you, whether you choose a private 1:1 session or group sound bath.
